Getting started

In this documentation we will cover how to connect to and use Volvo Car Retail Solutions developer portal.

For some parts of the documentation you need to be logged into the developer portal.

Prerequisite

Before continuing with the instructions, your organization must be registered in the developer portal as a product. This must be done by the IT manager of your organization here (typically the CTO or CEO). To register the organization, the IT manager needs in turn to be registered with VCRS as the trusted contact person for your organization. When the registration is complete you will receive your organizations (products) API key. 

Signup to developer portal

Go to Sign up in the top menu and fill out the form. 

Right after you have signed up your user is not connected to your organization yet, so to be able to connect your user you need to login for the first time before proceeding to the next step. 

Connect developer to developer portal

Your account needs to be connected to your organization for you to be able to find and read documentation about our APIs and Events. If your organization already exists you can speak with your IT responsible person who can add your account to your organization via this form in Volvo Car Retail Solutions' ServiceNow.
